Infected By Will

Modern people like to pass off deep and hard-to-explain physical and psychological issues as chemical imbalances and by giving various labels to people. But what if the real issue is far simpler, and far more difficult to grapple with? Can the soul for example be infected with something much like the body can be infected by a virus?
